Rebecca Zohra | A Transformational Speaker, Empowerment Mentor & Human Potential Advocate.
I help people believe in themselves again, speak with confidence, and rise into the person they were always meant to be.
My work blends storytelling, mindset, emotional intelligence, and lived experience to guide people toward clarity, courage, and personal transformation.
I don’t speak from theory, I speak from overcoming.
My story
I didn’t grow up confident. I had to fight for it.
I was born in Hoorn, The Netherlands, on July 11, 1989. My mother is Dutch, and although I have Dutch nationality, I am mixed-race. My father is Native American and African American, and I didn’t know him until I was 23.
I was raised in a small Dutch town, living mostly with my mother and grandmother, and often moving between caregivers in the family. My childhood was marked by instability, identity confusion, and emotional hardship. I spent much of my life feeling out of place, unseen, and unsure of my worth.
As I grew older, life became even heavier.
I battled depression, an eating disorder, debt, and left home at 18 trying to survive and build a future on my own. After years of struggling, I became homeless and ended up in a toxic relationship. When that finally ended, just weeks later I survived a life-changing motorcycle accident that required years of recovery.
At my lowest point, I almost didn’t make it.
I failed often, fast, and hit moments where I had completely lost hope.
After surviving a serious suicide attempt, I found faith, inner strength, and a single spark of hope that pulled me back. I refused to give up. I committed myself to embracing my identity, living a life of purpose, and developing meaningful ambition.
Where My Hope Came From
When I had nothing left, I turned to the only things I did have: YouTube videos, audiobooks, and the words of people who had survived their own darkness. I spent nights and days listening to motivational talks, spiritual guidance, neuroscience explanations, and stories of people who rebuilt their lives from nothing.
I absorbed every message of hope I could find.
And along my healing journey, I met mentors who changed everything for me:
Pieter Kreft, a spiritual healer & mental coach, whose presence brought deep clarity, grounding, and emotional healing. Margot Miller, a therapeutic coach, who helped encourage me to just go out and do it! it sparked my inner resilience. Their guidance, combined with the inspiration I found online, reminded me of something essential: I still had a future.
I rebuilt my life piece by piece.
Not into who I used to be, but into who I was meant to become.
This journey shaped everything I teach today.

Rise above fear
Build authentic confidence
Embrace their identity
Rewrite their story
Heal emotional wounds
Step into visibility & purpose
Become leaders of their own life
Not because I read it in a book — but because I lived it.

You Are the Future, Start Believing!
If I could rise from rock bottom with no support, no safety net, and no guidance, then you can rise too.
